Small gem in Huntington. I wasn't sure what to expect from an Indian restaurant in rural West Virginia, and I was pleasantly surprised. Good prices, good quality of food, and very tasty!
This was the first time I have had Indian cuisine. It was one of the most delicious foods I have tried. The staff was great, and the food was outstanding.
Very nice customer service and awsome food, they treat everyone with respect awesome place I love it
There's a lot of reviews indicating that the food is authentic and traditional. These people have never tasted the real authentic food. Despite living close for years, I have dined only twice. After trying the Nawab in Charleston, which was fantastic, by the way, I have decided to give it a try one more time before writing a review. I'm not sure what changes but the Charleston one is far better than this one. I guess the only reason they're still in business is because they don't really have competition here. The only reason this review has an extra star is because of the excellent service provided by the server. Sorry guys, but you gotta do it better and let people know that our food, in reality, tastes better than you cook.REPLY TO THE COMMENT: Why would you assume I am writing a review based on South Indian food? Either way, your food is just overrated.
Nawab is my favorite Indian restaurant in Huntington. Their chicken masala is my go to! Plus, their hot tea is the best! Their staff is super friendly and attentive. They make sure that your cup never goes empty! I love Nawab!
My wife and I are in town for a family emergency and, looking to get away and eat some good food, decided to come here. It is a damn shame we will likely never eat here again due to the distance from our home (over 5 hours) because we had an absolutely excellent dinner here. The service was great, the food was great, and the price for what we got was good in comparison to other Indian restaurants we've eaten at. I highly recommend this place and if I ever get the chance to eat here again I gladly will. I can easily see why this place has been in business for so long.
entrees are just half cooked.
Delicious! Best garlic naan I've ever had!
Great lunch buffet and a very low price. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Awesome food. Right amount of heat (I love spicy food)
This is my favorite restaurant in Huntington. The lunch buffet is always changing and offers a wide selection from the menu. The quality is incredible and very authentic. I suspect this Inidan food is either regionally specific or the recipes used are from the family. This is some of the best Indian food I've ever had and I eat here as often as I can. I highly recommend it and often bring my family here when they are visiting from out of town.
Phenomenal food! Consistently great flavor and very kind owners. Definite staple in Huntington and a must try. Highly recommend the Paneer Tikka Masala. I come at least once a week to have it!!
The lunch buffet was mostly tasty, if a little expensive for the limited selection.
Needs more work for place and meals
Ordered an appetizer sampler. Glad to have a delicious vegetarian meal! While the portion size appeared smaller than I expected, the food is plenty filling. I would recommend this restaurant to others.
Always delicious, but today was exceptional for some reason. One of my favorite restaurants in the area. Always enjoy the buffet.
We went for the lunch buffet. The price is great and the food is quality. We will return!
Wow, this place is AMAZING! My favorite Indian restaurant! They have a buffet that is worth every penny. Great staff too, the workers are super nice and will be happy to answer any questions! I asked how they make certain foods and they stand their and tell me all the steps! Super nice! Just wish they had some Indian deserts to go with the buffet. Other than that no complaints!
My favorite restaurant in Huntington. Always good food, never a disappointment! The buffet is the best.
worst customer service on phone call.dont have proper talking manner, how to deal with customers to help in the menu they have to learn first, no customer no bussiness if you can understand that.!
Awesome food and good service very helpful staff I never tried that kind of food before and they take pride in their food highly recommend
The lunch buffet is delicious and the price is amazing at 8.50. There was a great variety and all of it was very tasty. Their full menu is extensive and also affordable. I will definitely be coming back!
This is an amazing place to go experience Indian food for the first time, I love it!
The food is delicious and authentic. The atmosphere is elegant. The service is great. Hours are very convenient and there is plenty of off street parking right in front of the entrance. I give it my highest recommendation
Excellent makhni, tikka masala, jalfrezie, and paneer. Wonderful lassi, basmati, and garlic Naan. Friendly service, but avoid the chai tea unless you like it unsweetened.
I thought the food and atmosphere was nice. My only complaint was the lack of a delicious dessert. Today's dessert was some dish made with carrots. It wasn't bad, but it was more like a side dish than a dessert. I needs me sweets!!!
I love this place! The buffet is always filled with a variety of traditional Indian dishes for an affordable price.
Love the lunch buffet! Their rice pudding is supreme! Bright, friendly atmosphere for dining.
Quality Indian food with a large selection of entrees and drinks.
Excellent food but service is noticeably slow.
Very friendly service. Great food.
Best Indian food I've had anywhere! The lunch buffet is my favorite.
Excellent food, chai tea and friendly efficient service. Buffet at lunch tasty and full of vegetarian options as well as meat entrees if desired. Small salad bar also. 2 buffet meals for around $20. Can't be beat! All you can eat Finish off your meal with a cup of delicious chai tea. Pleasant setting with kind and prompt waiters standing by to assist you.
Amazing food! Love the ambience! Amazing staff!! The flavors bordered on nirvana! Best Indian food I've ever had!
The food is delicious, but service is hit or miss, which makes sense when the workers don't get to keep their tips (inside word from a previous employee)
What can I say? This is the only Indian restaurant in town but it is a fantastic one. The service is excellent, the food is excellent, it is just a great asset to Huntington. Stop by for the reasonably priced buffet at lunch time or have a family style meal at dinner. Just stop by. So good.
My husband and I ordered takeout from Nawab and it was delicious! Flavors were rich and food tasted fresh and homemade. Best Indian food around.
Good lunch buffet. Had a delicious dinner there too, adjusted spice just right, great service and yummy warm food. Perfect for cold winter evening.
Has clearly labeled vegan options -- the eggplant bharta was amazing! My spouse and I will definitely be back next time we're in Huntington.
Great indian food . classy place
Good place to eat for lunch. Buffett starts at 1130am till 2PM. Dinner can be pricey.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. High quality food and the lunch buffet is inexpensive. I come here every time I come home to visit family. And also, the waiters are amazing- have never had to wait for drinks or service they are very attentive. For example, I was looking for naan on the buffet and they were out- did not mention a word about it even to those I was eating with and minutes later they bring a fresh plate of naan to the table. Love this place, it’s a must try. Also they are open on a lot of holidays where most restaurants are closed so we use it as a nice place to eat lunch dinner on holidays. Love Nawabs, never change!
I dropped by to get a takeout of their lunch buffet. They give you a takeout box and you get to fill it up with the dishes you prefer. They offer a variety of vegetarian dishes in their buffet menu so, this place is vegetarian friendly too. A few dishes like the channa masala, paneer gravies tasted good but the rice, naan and carrot pudding weren't good. Their staff were polite and helpful during my visit. Since this is the only Indian restaurant in town they should make sure that all their dishes are good.
Great food, relaxed atmosphere
May be the best deal on Indian food in all of the Mid-Atlantic! The lunch buffet has a great selection, though the number of items isn't overwhelming, each featured dish is usually executed well and with a ton of flavor.
Worst food i ever had in my life. You guys really need a good chef not good chef but at-least a chef who knows how to cook. Is se acha to ma bana lu ghar pe. This is dis-respect of indian food on inter-national platform. This is not even close to indian food. I know everyone want to earn profit out of his buissness but you should also keep this thing in mind that you guys are representing a nation in terms of food and flavors. Other than food even our national flag was not in good condition. I find it very disrespectful for indian national flag.
Great lunch buffet. Fresh food great tasting.
Not at all Indian taste. Food seems to have more american touch rather than authentic indian.
Good food. We eat here about once a quarter. Always a good meal.
Always great food. Chicken tikka masala is the best dish with garlic naan! Definitely recommend!
